01:35 PM EDT, 08/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Southwest Airlines ( LUV ) surveyed some loyalty members and consumers last week about possible changes to its "bags fly free" policy, Bloomberg reported Thursday.

The questionnaire sought customer feedback on bag fees, travel habits, loyalty status benefits and booking preferences, the report said.

In the hypothetical bag policy, the cheapest fares include only a personal item and carry-on bag. The next tier has one free checked bag, while the higher fares would allow two free checked bags, the report said.

The survey was partly seen by Bloomberg and confirmed by the airline.

Southwest Airlines ( LUV ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
