10:41 AM EST, 11/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Stellantis ( STLA ) will again stop auto assembly operations at its plant in Mirafiori, Italy in early December, Reuters reported Wednesday citing the company.
The facility makes the electric Fiat 500 and two Maserati sports car models. Operations will be halted from Dec. 2 to Jan. 5, the report said.
"The reason is the continuing uncertainty in sales of electric cars in several European markets, which account for 97% of Mirafiori's production, and luxury cars in some non-European countries such as China and the United States", Stellantis ( STLA ) was quoted as saying in the report.
The automaker didn't immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
