Market Chatter: Synchrony Financial Said to Win Deal for Walmart Credit Cards

08:09 AM EDT, 06/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Synchrony Financial ( SYF ) was chosen by OnePay, a fintech firm backed by Walmart ( WMT ) , to issue both a co-branded card that can be used outside Walmart ( WMT ) and a private-label card that can be used for purchases at the retailer, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

Synchrony and Walmart ( WMT ) did not immediately reply to requests for comment from MT Newswires.

SYF shares were gaining 3.2% while WMT shares were 0.6% higher in recent premarket activity.
