Market Chatter: Taiwan Semiconductor's Arizona Trials Match Taiwanese Plants' Productivity
Sep 6, 2024 9:31 AM

09:10 AM EDT, 09/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing ( TSM ) achieved productivity levels at its Arizona facility on par with its Taiwan-based plants, an indicator its big US project is on the right path, Bloomberg reported, citing a person familiar with the matter.

In trial production at its first advanced US plant, the chipmaker's yield rate was similar to that of its corresponding facilities in Tainan, Taiwan, the person reportedly told Bloomberg.

TSMC did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
