Market Chatter: Tesla Plans to Pause Cybertruck, Model Y Production During July 4 Week
Jun 17, 2025 9:51 AM

12:17 PM EDT, 06/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) plans to pause production of its Cybertruck and Model Y at its Austin, Texas, factory during the July 4 week to perform maintenance on production lines, Business Insider reported Tuesday, citing a person familiar with the matter.

The electric vehicle maker told workers in a meeting earlier this month that the pause would start the week of June 30 with production resuming the following week, the report said.

Tesla didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.

The company's shares fell 2.6% in recent trading Tuesday.
