07:01 AM EDT, 09/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Toyota Motor ( TM ) halted production at two of its Brazilian plants after severe rain damaged its Porto Feliz factory, Reuters reported late Wednesday, citing a statement from the company.
The damage has forced the Japanese carmaker to postpone the launch of the Yaris Cross in Brazil indefinitely, the report said.
The plants impacted by the storm are in Porto Feliz, where it makes engines, and Sorocaba, where it assembles vehicles such as the Yaris, Corolla, and Corolla Cross, the report said.
Toyota ( TM ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
