02:08 PM EDT, 03/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Truist Financial ( TFC ) hired Markus Wirtz from Bank of America's ( BAC ) to advise on asset-management dealmaking, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing a person with knowledge of the matter.

Wirtz will serve as a managing director at Truist, starting in May, the report said.

Wirtz joined Bank of America ( BAC ) in 2017, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Truist and Bank of America ( BAC ) declined to comment, Bloomberg said.

Truist declined to comment to MT Newswires, and Bank of America ( BAC ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
