06:25 AM EDT, 07/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The United States government has paused restrictions on Chinese technology exports in anticipation of a possible meeting between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping, the Financial Times reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The Bureau of Industry and Security has been told not to show force against China in the wake of possible talks, the report said.
Officials from the US and China are expected to meet in Stockholm on Monday to continue trade talks following previous meetings in Geneva and London, according to the FT.
The Bureau of Industry and Security and the White House did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
