Market Chatter: Vinfast Seeks Financing for Indonesia Plant

07:19 AM EDT, 07/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- VinFast Auto ( VFS ) is seeking a loan of $250 million to finance construction of a factory in Subang, Indonesia, Bloomberg News reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The electric vehicle maker has approached banks in Indonesia for loans denominated in dollars or Indonesian rupiah, the report said.

VinFast did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
