11:53 AM EDT, 08/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Walmart ( WMT ) and its drone delivery partner, DroneUp, are ending drone deliveries in three states to focus on perfecting the service in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Axios reported Friday.

DroneUp is closing 18 Walmart ( WMT ) delivery hubs in Phoenix, Ariz., Salt Lake City, Utah and Tampa, Fla., the company told Axios. As a result of the closures, DroneUp's delivery service will now be available at 15 Walmart ( WMT ) locations: 11 in Dallas, three near the retail giant's headquarters in Bentonville Ark., and one in Virginia Beach, Va., Axios reported.

Neither Walmart ( WMT ) nor DroneUp immediately responded to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
