Market Chatter: Walmart Testing Ads on AI Shopping Agent Sparky

05:11 PM EST, 11/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Walmart ( WMT ) is testing ads in its artificial intelligence shopping agent Sparky, The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday, quoting unnamed sources familiar with the matter.

The retailer has been exploring new ad formats with some advertisers, the report said.

The AI shopping agent, which Walmart ( WMT ) added to its mobile app in June, is able to summarize customer reviews, compare products and suggest items, the report said.

Walmart ( WMT ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment by MT Newswires.
