07:52 PM EDT, 06/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Sen. Elizabeth Warren has invited Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang to testify before the Senate Banking Committee on June 11 as lawmakers scrutinize the company's business in China and the effectiveness of US export controls on advanced AI chips, CNBC reported Thursday.
In a letter obtained by CNBC, Warren asked Huang to discuss Nvidia's views on export control policies and its operations in China. She requested confirmation of his attendance by Monday.
The invitation comes as Nvidia faces increasing scrutiny from US lawmakers and national security officials concerned that advanced AI chips could support China's military and surveillance capabilities.
Warren said Wednesday she is concerned U.S. technology companies are profiting from sales that could undermine long-term national security, according to CNBC.
