12:58 PM EST, 11/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Woodside Energy Group ( WDS ) and Commonwealth LNG are expected to sign deals to supply US liquefied natural gas to Saudi Aramco when Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman visits Washington next week, Reuters reported Friday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
Aramco plans to buy a stake in Woodside's $17.5 billion Louisiana LNG project and enter into an offtake agreement to secure up to 2 million tons per annum of LNG, four industry sources told the news outlet.
The national oil company is also expected to sign a separate LNG supply deal of up to 2 million tons per annum from Commonwealth LNG's proposed facility in Cameron, Louisiana, three industry sources said.
Aramco is targeting 20 million tons per annum of LNG capacity, with 4.5 million tons currently in progress, Reuters reported, citing company president and CEO Amin Nasser in a call with analysts in August.
Woodside, Aramco, and Commonwealth LNG did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
