Masco Likely to Benefit From Improving Trends, Oppenheimer Says
Jan 10, 2025 10:06 AM

12:59 PM EST, 01/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Masco ( MAS ) is poised to benefit from improving trends in the repair and remodel space, with revenue growth expected to start in Q3 following 12 straight quarters of flat to down sales, Oppenheimer said in a note Friday.

"This inflection is mostly tied to our constructive view on R&R spend," analysts Tyler Batory and Jonathan Jenkins said. "MAS should outperform given its small

ticket products, strong brands, and streamlined portfolio post the sale of Kichler."

Masco ( MAS ) has cut its exposure to China by 40% since 2019, and likely price increases could help mitigate higher input costs and the potential impact from tariffs, the report said.

"We forecast EPS growth will accelerate on the margin through 2026, which should contribute to multiple expansion," the analysts said.

Oppenheimer upgraded the stock to outperform from perform with an $89 price target.
