09:00 AM EDT, 06/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Mastercard ( MA ) launched a payment service called Agent Pay for Machines to facilitate automated, high-frequency microtransactions handled by artificial intelligence programs, the company said Wednesday.

The system provides credentialing, spending limit enforcement, and guaranteed settlement capabilities for cards and stablecoins, the company said.

The technology builds upon a prior agent payment framework from 2025 and is supported by over 30 industry partners, Mastercard ( MA ) said.
