08:10 AM EDT, 05/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Materion ( MTRN ) said Thursday that it has agreed to purchase manufacturing assets for tantalum production in Dangjin City, South Korea, from Konasol, a Korean manufacturer.

Financial terms were not disclosed

The investment expands Materion's ( MTRN ) footprint in Asia and includes a newly constructed facility with equipment to produce tantalum sputtering targets that are used in electronics manufacturing, the company said.

The deal is expected to close in 90 days, the company said.
