04:25 PM EDT, 06/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms ( META ) will soon offer chatbots and other applications supported by artificial intelligence to business customers through its WhatsApp messaging platform, the social media company said Thursday at an annual event in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Meta is currently testing a platform that allows people to call larger businesses with just one tap, the company said. It also expects to integrate AI tools into Facebook and Instagram and help businesses create ads.

Meta will also let customers in Brazil, India, Indonesia and Columbia use its Meta Verified application through WhatsApp Business.
