12:39 PM EDT, 05/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms' ( META ) WhatsApp said Tuesday that it is now available on Apple's ( AAPL ) iPad, allowing consumers to use the app on a larger screen.

Features available include video and audio calls with up to 32 people, screen sharing, and the use of both front and back cameras, the company said.

The app has been optimized for multitasking, and users can access iPadOS features like Stage Manager, Split View, and Slide Over to chat or call while browsing the web, the company said.

Shares of Meta Platforms ( META ) rose 2% and Apple ( AAPL ) added 2.7% in recent trading.
