Meta Platforms Signs Solar Energy Deals With Arevon Energy

09:52 AM EST, 03/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms ( META ) and renewable energy developer Arevon Energy said Tuesday that they signed two long-term environmental attributes purchase agreements over the Kelso solar project in Missouri.

Arevon will own and operate the Kelso solar project and the facility is expected to provide renewable energy that will support Meta's operations in the region, the companies said.

No financial terms were disclosed but the partners said Kelso will be designed to generate 349 megawatts of power. Meta and Arevon expect the facility to start operations in Q4 2025, with a second phase to follow in Q1 2026.
