Meta to invest up to $65 billion in capital expenditure this year

(Reuters) -Meta Platforms ( META ) will invest $60 billion to $65 billion in capital expenditure in 2025, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a Facebook post on Friday.

The company will build an AI engineer that will start contributing increasing amounts of code to its research and design efforts, Zuckerberg said.

Shares of the company were down about 1% in premarket trading.
