Miata Metals Exploitation License Renewed for Sela Creek Gold Project

01:58 PM EDT, 08/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Miata Metals ( MMETF ) on Wednesday said its exploitation license for the Sela Creek gold project was renewed for five years by the Geological Mining Service in Suriname.

The company said it completed its anniversary payments for the option agreement on the project. It made the required cash payments under the option agreement to date and issued 592,883 Miata shares to the optionors of Sela Creek.

"We are now firmly established at Sela Creek and well into our 10,000 m drill program," said Chief Executive Jaap Verbaas. "With our recently closed oversubscribed financing, we are well-positioned to continue systematic exploration on our flagship project."

Shares of the company were last seen up $0.01 to $0.23 on the Canadian Securities Exchange.
