11:58 AM EST, 02/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft ( MSFT ) said Wednesday it has introduced a generative AI model of a video game that can generate game visuals and controller actions.

The model, called World and Human Action Model or WHAM, was trained on recorded online match data from the 2020 Xbox game Bleeding Edge.

The company said it is releasing the weights, sample data, and a concept prototype to the public to help other researchers explore the models and build on them.
