04:25 AM EST, 11/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft ( MSFT ) -OpenAI has formed a collaboration with Foxconn for the design and manufacturing of next-generation AI infrastructure hardware, the companies said Thursday in a joint statement.

Under the collaboration, OpenAI will assist Foxconn's hardware design and development efforts by sharing insights on emerging hardware needs across the AI industry.

The collaboration will focus on designing for multiple generations of data center hardware, strengthening and simplifying the AI supply chain, and building critical AI data center components in the US, they said.
