08:20 AM EDT, 03/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Midland Exploration Inc. ( MIDLF ) said Tuesday that a 4,000-meter Sonic drill campaign has commenced on the Patris gold property in Quebec.

The program will comprise 115 drill holes, aiming to characterize glacial dispersion trails in the till covered with lacustrine clays.

Barrick Gold Corp. ( GOLD ) has an option to acquire up to a 75% interest in the property by paying $1.0 million spending $16.6 million on exploration over eight years.

Barrick is the operator of the work carried out under the transaction.
