09:06 AM EST, 11/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Multiple municipal bond offerings this week have a high exposure to climate risk, specifically high Flood and Wildfire Scores, according to ICE Climate Data.

An $11 million offering from South River, N.J., records a Flood Score of 4.7 out of 5.0, ICE reports. Locations with a component Physical Climate Risk Score, which includes Flood, Wildfire and Hurricane, of 3.0 or higher out of 5.0 indicate high physical climate risk due to hurricane, flooding or wildfire events.

An $11 million bond deal from Montgomery County MUD No. 138, Texas, has a Flood Score of 3.8 out of 5.0 on ICE's scale, while a $10 million tranche from North Platte, Neb., records a Flood Score of 3.8.

Elsewhere, a $5 million offering from Valley Center Municipal Water District, Calif., records a Wildfire Score of 4.9, and a $6 million offering from Brazoria County MUD No. 43, Texas, has a total Climate Risk Score of 3.9 out of 5.0 due to its proximity to weather-related events, according to ICE Climate Data.
