05:20 PM EST, 11/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Nanalysis Scientific ( NSCIF ) after trade Monday reported a narrower loss and lower revenue for the third quarter.

The company lost $1.5 million, compared with a loss of $1.6 million in the year-ago quarter.

The portable Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectrometers manufacturer said "the decrease in net loss was due to lower depreciation as an acquired, depreciable, intangible asset was fully impaired in 2024, and the fact that losses from associate are no longer recorded in the consolidated statement of loss and comprehensive loss due to the impairment of the Quad investment in 2024."

Revenue for the quarter ended on Sept. 30 fell to $9.3 million from $10.6 million a year prior.

The company said the drop was mainly due to fewer third-party equipment sales as the company shifts back to focusing on its own products, along with broader uncertainty from global tariffs and trade tensions. Capital equipment sales also stayed weak, contributing to the overall decline.

The company's shares closed unchanged at $0.18 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
