National Bank On What It Will Be Watching For Next Week

02:55 PM EDT, 03/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- National Bank noted the publication of January's GDP data will attract a lot of attention next Friday. It said judging from industry level reports published to date, economic output may have expanded 0.3% in the month, led by gains in mining/quarrying/oil and gas extraction, wholesale trade and transportation/warehousing.

National will also keep an eye next Thursday on January's iteration of the Survey of Employment, Payrolls, and Hours (SEPH).

Also, the Bank of Canada will on Wednesday publish the summary of deliberations by the Governing Council for the policy decision that was announced on March 12. The budget of the province of Quebec will be published on Tuesday
