09:27 AM EDT, 04/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Natural gas fell for a third session early on Monday, dropping to a near six-month low on weak spring demand.
Gas for May delivery was last seen down US$0.04 to US$2.90 per million British thermal units, the lowest since Nov.8.
The price of the fuel has dropped 29% over the past month as mild spring weather cuts into demand for the fuel, while traders await the arrival of summer heat that will boost cooling demand.
Long-term forecasts from the National Weather Service offer scant comfort for traders looking for that demand boost. The National Weather Service's six to 10 day outlook sees temperatures in the big markets of the Northeast and Upper Midwest with seasonal or cooler temperatures over the period.
