Nauticus Robotics Begins Testing of Underwater Vehicle

04:32 AM EDT, 09/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nauticus Robotics ( KITT ) said late Tuesday that it began a second round of testing of its underwater vehicle, Aquanaut Mark 2, in the Gulf of Mexico.

The testing is meant to certify the vehicle for depths of over 2,000 meters, the company said.

The tests are being conducted at a decommissioned oil and gas field off the coast of Louisiana to show commercial applications. The Aquanaut Mark 2 can image subsea structures such as trees and pipelines.
