New York Bancorp changes name to its subsidiary Flagstar Financial

Oct 15 (Reuters) - New York Community Bancorp ( NYCB/PA )

said on Tuesday it has changed its name to Flagstar Financial

and its stock symbol to "FLG."

Flagstar Bank is a subsidiary of New York Community Bancorp ( NYCB/PA )

and was bought by the troubled lender back in 2021 for $2.6

billion.

The name change will become effective on Oct. 25.
