Newmont CEO Tom Palmer to Step Down; Operations Chief Natascha Viljoen Named Successor

08:43 AM EDT, 09/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Newmont ( NEM ) said Monday that Chief Executive Tom Palmer will resign on Dec. 31.

Chief Operating Officer Natascha Viljoen will succeed Palmer, who will serve as strategic adviser until his retirement on March 31, the company said.

The company's shares were up nearly 3% in recent Monday premarket activity.
