NEXE Innovations Receives Orders For 700,000 Coffee Pods; Expands Reach to Online, DTC Space
Jun 25, 2025 8:10 AM

10:59 AM EDT, 06/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- NEXE Innovations ( NEXNF ) on Wednesday said that it received purchase orders for over 700,000 compostable coffee pods last month from three customers across North America, and has expanded its reach to the online and direct-to-consumer (DTC) space.

According to a statement, these new orders are in addition to the more than 1 million pods produced since November 2024.

Crazy Cups, a U.S.-based company specializing in flavoured coffee, has made an initial order covering 20 SKUs, represening Nexe's largest engagement to date in the flavored coffee category. Crazy Cups is affiliated with Ekocups, an existing customer and a high volume online and Amazon retailer. The addition of Crazy Cups expands Nexe's reach within the online and DTC segments, Nexe said.

Additionally, NEXE is developing 20 new SKUs across its customer base for launch, including an additional 14 new SKUs for Crazy Cups, to support its expansion and product innovation roadmap.

NEXE also cited repeat order activity involving Bridgehead and office coffee services (OCS) partner.

"We have observed increased activity at NEXE Innovations ( NEXNF ), reflected in our achievements since November 2024, including orders surpassing 700,000 pods in May alone," said Ash Guglani, president. "We are especially excited to expand into flavored coffee with Crazy Cups, and to continue fulfilling repeat orders from existing partners. We believe these developments highlight the demand for our BPI-certified compostable coffee pods."

Nexe was last seen up $0.01 from near 52 week lows to $0.21, on the TSX Venture Exchange.
