05:37 AM EDT, 09/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Norfolk Southern ( NSC ) said Sunday its board has opened an investigation into allegations of Chief Executive Alan Shaw's potential misconduct.

The company did not disclose further details but said the alleged misconduct is "inconsistent" with its policies and ethics code. Norfolk Southern ( NSC ) also said its board "cannot comment further until the investigation is complete."
