05:33 PM EST, 12/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- North American Construction Group ( NOA ) after trade Wednesday said that its MacKellar Group unit received an early works and development contract from a major copper producer in New South Wales, Australia.

The project will involve setting up infrastructure at a new mining site, removing overburden, and closing a previous reclamation facility, the company added.

The contract, expected to generate about $100 million in revenue, comes from a new customer in a new region for MacKellar. The project is set to start in the first quarter of 2025 and finish in the second quarter of 2026, the company said, adding that equipment for the project will mainly come from its existing fleet, with most of it transported from Canada.

The company also said that while this award brings it to over 90% of its combined revenue target for 2025, it does not change the company's estimated revenue ranges for next year.
