08:14 AM EST, 11/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Northcliff Resources ( NCFFF ) said Friday that it secured a five-year extension to the construction commencement timeline for the Sisson tungsten-molybdenum project in New Brunswick.
The approval from the Minister of the Department of Environment and Climate Change came a day after the project was referred to Canada's Major Projects Office, which will provide financial and regulatory assistance to advance the development toward a construction decision.
"This extension provides Northcliff a runway to complete workstreams that will provide the necessary economic and technical information to support a construction decision," Chief Executive Officer Andrew Ing said.
Meanwhile, Northcliff appointed Peter Mitchell as chairman, replacing Ing, who will remain as president, CEO and director of the company.
Northcliff's share price plummeted 23.3% on Thursday to $0.45 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
