Northstar Clean Technologies Adds Limestone as Fourth Product Line
Sep 24, 2025 5:49 AM

08:21 AM EDT, 09/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Northstar Clean Technologies ( ROOOF ) said Wednesday that it added a fourth product line after successfully separating and recovering limestone from asphalt shingles.

Northstar said it also secured a new patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for this limestone recovery portion of the company's proprietary asphalt shingle reprocessing technology. The patent is expected to remain in force until 2045.

The company's existing product lines comprise liquid or pelletized asphalt, aggregate and fiber/fiberglass.

"By extracting limestone directly from asphalt shingles, we've been able to establish both a fourth product line for the company and most importantly, to deliver a final asphalt product with high-quality characteristics," president and chief executive officer Aidan Mills said.

"Additionally, this patent adds further protection to Northstar's intellectual property portfolio while strengthening our first-mover advantage."

Limestone is used to improve durability and longevity of shingles.

"We believe the high quality of our asphalt will continue to provide significant differentiation for Northstar in the global marketplace," Mills said.

Northstar's shares rose 1.6% Tuesday to $0.325 on the TSXV.
