COPENHAGEN, Aug 7 (Reuters) - Novo Nordisk's
new Chief Executive Mike Doustdar will consider layoffs as part
of upcoming cost saving, he told Danish broadcaster TV2 in an
interview on Thursday.
"I don't want to limit myself in terms of where I look for
savings, and salaries are a cost item. I will go through
everything," said Doustdar, a company veteran, who started his
role on Thursday.
"I work fast, so I will do it faster than other bosses. But
I am not ruthless, I will do it properly and fairly," he said.
