Novonix Says Stellantis Unit Ends Offtake Deal Effective Immediately; Shares Down Pre-Bell

06:00 AM EST, 11/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Novonix ( NVX ) said Monday that a Stellantis ( STLA ) unit terminated its offtake agreement after the parties could not agree on product specifications and mass-production targets.

The original deal covered at least 86,250 tonnes, up to 115,000 tonnes, over six years with pricing tied to a market formula and a targeted Jan. 1, 2026, start for supply, the company said.

The Riverside facility in Chattanooga is slated to begin mass production in 2026, while a second Chattanooga plant at Enterprise South is planned, taking combined capacity to over 50,000 tonnes a year, Novonix ( NVX ) said.

Shares of Novonix ( NVX ) were down by more than 10% in recent Tuesday premarket activity.
