Nucor Q2 Earnings Decline, Sales Rise

04:47 PM EDT, 07/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Nucor ( NUE ) reported Q2 earnings late Monday of $2.60 per diluted share, down from $2.68 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.55.

Net sales for the quarter ended July 5 were $8.46 billion, up from $8.08 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $8.54 billion.

The company expects Q3 earnings to be nominally lower than Q2 due to reduced earnings in its steel mills segment and similar earnings in its steel products and raw materials divisions. Four analysts expect Q3 EPS of $2.65.

Shares of were down more than 4% in after-hours trading.
