11:14 AM EDT, 07/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- NV5 Global ( NVEE ) said Tuesday it has been awarded a $5 million contract from the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Office of Coast Survey to carry out a hydrographic survey in Lake Michigan.

The project scope includes Southern Lake Michigan from Northeast Chicago, Illinois, to Michigan City, Indiana, a crucial route for maritime traffic and a major entry point to the Mississippi River, the company said.

Shares of the company were up about 1.7% in recent trading.
