Nvidia Joins Startup Sakana AI's $100 Million Series A Funding Round

07:17 AM EDT, 09/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia ( NVDA ) participated in the series A funding round for Sakana AI that raised over $100 million, the Tokyo-based artificial intelligence startup said Wednesday.

Investors were led by New Enterprise Associates, Khosla Ventures and Lux Capital, "with participation from Nvidia ( NVDA )," according to Sakana.

In addition, Sakana said it entered into a new collaboration with Nvidia ( NVDA ) on research, data centers, and AI community development in Japan.

Sakana said leveraging Nvidia's ( NVDA ) GPU technologies will help in its pursuits toward scaling evolutionary optimization methods or utilizing sparsity.

And small tetra pack products form a small part of this 80 percent, said an analyst from a domestic brokerage firm. “Dabur’s earnings are unlikely to be significantly impacted, though profitability could take a hit of 70-100 basis points,” she added.
