Advertising, marketing and public relations giant Ogilvy on Wednesday appointed Piyush Pandey as its global chief creative officer. The position was lying vacant since July after the agency sacked its CCO Tham Khai Meng over alleged misconduct.

Pandey currently serves as the executive chairman and creative director of Ogilvy South Asia. He will retain his responsibilities along with his new role.

The agency has also announced the plan to expand its worldwide creative council from 12 members to 20.
