OpenAI set to discontinue Sora video platform

March 24 (Reuters) - OpenAI is discontinuing its video generation tool Sora, according to a post on social media site X on Tuesday.

Sora, launched as a standalone app in September 2025, lets users create and share AI videos that can be spun from copyrighted content and shared to social media-like streams.
