Operations at Occidental Petroleum's Shah Gas Project in UAE Halted Following Drone Strike

07:19 AM EDT, 03/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Operations at the Shah gas project in the UAE, which is operated by a joint venture between Occidental Petroleum ( OXY ) and Abu Dhabi National Oil, have been halted due to a drone strike, according to media outlets published as early as Monday.

The fire caused by the drone attack was subdued, without reported injuries, according to the news outlets.

Occidental Petroleum ( OXY ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for a comment.
