05:28 PM EDT, 03/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Optiva ( RKNEF ) after trade Tuesday said its fourth-quarter loss widened while revenue was flat year-over-year.
The company lost US$4.7 million, or US$0.75 per share, compared with a loss of US$4.0 million, or US$0.65 per share, a year ago. The company said the loss widened mainly due to the foreign exchange loss during the period, compared to a gain last year.
Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31 stood at US$12 million, unchanged from the previous year. The company said that compared to last year, support and subscription revenue increased by US$0.4 million, while software and services revenue decreased by US$0.4 million during the quarter.
The company added that its Payment-in-Kind Toggle Notes are set to mature on July 25. The Special Committee of the board is engaged with key noteholders to explore refinancing options. The committee is also working with third parties to evaluate strategic alternatives to optimize business outcomes for the company and its customers.
