Organigram Holdings Swings to Q2 Profit as Revenue Jumps, Beats Forecast
May 26, 2025 5:42 AM

07:07 AM EDT, 05/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Organigram Holdings (OGI.TO) on Monday said it swung to a second-quarter profit as revenue jumped.

The company posted a profit of a $42.5 million compared with a net loss of $27.1 million in the prior year period. The increase in net income is primarily due to higher fair value gains recognized in relation to top-up-rights of the investment by BAT and other financial instruments, Organigram said. The company did not provide per share figures.

Net revenue increased 74% to $65.6 million, primarily due to contributions from the Motif Labs acquisition that was completed in December, and organic growth in recreational and international sales. The result beat the consensus analyst estimate of $61.3 million, according to Capital IQ.

"Our record revenue this quarter reflects the strength of our brands and our ability to execute across both domestic and international markets," said Beena Goldenberg, chief executive officer. "We are unlocking meaningful global growth potential - from increasing sales into key international markets like Germany, to our entrance into the U.S. hemp-derived beverage space. We expect this momentum to continue as we further strengthen our leadership in Canada and head into the seasonally stronger back half of the year."
