08:19 AM EDT, 08/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Oshkosh's (OSK) Oshkosh Defense business said Wednesday that the US Army awarded a $1.54 billion contract for the Family of Heavy Tactical Vehicles V program.

The company said that with the five-year, fixed price with economic price adjustment requirements contract, it can continue delivering new and recapitalized heavy tactical vehicles and related trailers into 2031.

The Army can start buying vehicles on the contract this month, the company said.
