12:02 PM EDT, 06/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Osino Resources ( OSIIF ) on Thursday provided an update on its $368-million acquisition by Yintai Gold.

Yintai is offering for $1.90 in cash per Osino share.

After receiving the third of three Chinese regulatory approvals on May 28, competition law clearance from the Namibia Competition Commission (NCC) remains the only outstanding approval to conclude the arrangement.

The NCC recently sent additional clarifying questions to Osino and Yintai. Its final decision regarding the arrangement is expected by early August or early September at the latest, the company said.

Osino shares were last seen down $0.03 to $1.74 on the TSX Venture Exchange
