Palantir Strikes AI Partnerships With Archer Aviation, Databricks
Mar 13, 2025 12:43 PM

03:22 PM EDT, 03/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Palantir Technologies ( PLTR ) on Thursday announced two artificial intelligence-focused partnerships, including one with Archer Aviation ( ACHR ) to develop software to improve aviation systems.

With Palantir ( PLTR ) on board, Archer aims to accelerate the expansion of its aircraft manufacturing capabilities at the Georgia and Silicon Valley facilities, the companies said in a joint statement. They intend to work simultaneously to develop AI-powered software to improve aviation systems, including air traffic control and route planning.

"While the aviation industry has an unmatched level of safety, much of the legacy technology supporting the industry has only incrementally advanced," Archer Chief Executive Adam Goldstein said. "AI and software present an inflection point that will shape the future of aviation."

Palantir ( PLTR ) shares were down 4.2% in Thursday late-afternoon trade, while Archer Aviation ( ACHR ) fell 1.8%.

A separate Palantir's ( PLTR ) partnership with Databricks will accelerate the production of AI applications for clients at reduced costs, the companies said.

"Operational integration of Palantir ( PLTR ) and Databricks reduces costs and complexity for our customers while providing a foundation to accelerate their operations into the age of AI," said Ted Mabrey, Palantir's ( PLTR ) global head of commercial.

The Palantir-Databricks integration is already serving various customers across the public and private sectors, including the Department of Defense, the Department of the Treasury, and the Department of Health and Human Services, the companies said.

Financial terms of both partnerships weren't disclosed.

Databricks counts Comcast (CMCSA), Rivian Automotive (RIVN) and Shell (SHEL) among its customers.
