Panama approves First Quantum maintenance plan at closed copper mine

PANAMA CITY, May 30 (Reuters) - Panama's Trade and

Industry Minister on Friday said the government had approved the

start of First Quantum's maintenance plan for its shuttered

Cobre Panama mine.

Speaking at a press conference, Minister Julio Molto noted

that the plan would not include re-starting the mine and only

included environmental safety measures.
